Winter is here โ€“ which means drier air and colder temperatures. The lower moisture levels in the air can lead to dry and dehydrated skin conditions. Not only is it essential to change-up your skincare routine in anticipation for the coming months, but below are some tips and tricks to keep in mind when trying to avoid your skin becoming a victim this season! 

1. ๐— ๐—ฎ๐˜€๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฆ๐—ต๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐˜ ๐—ฆ๐—ต๐—ผ๐˜„๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜€ 

Hot water can strip away the skinโ€™s natural oils โ€“ especially if your skin is exposed to too much of it! So keep your bath or shower time short โ€“ and remember to always use warm water โ€“ never hot! 

2. ๐— ๐—ผ๐—ถ๐˜€๐˜๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ฒ ๐—ค๐˜‚๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ธ๐—น๐˜†

Heaters (and air-conditioners) dry out the air, irritating your skin and exacerbating existing dry skin conditions. Use a humidifier in your home and office to fill the air with moisture. Aim for an indoor humidity of about 50%.
